White-tailed deer fawn emerged from woods and approached park naturalist with curiosity on hiking trail. Moments later, the fawn returned unharmed to the woods to await its mother. Very young fawns may at times exhibit the behavior of fearlessly approaching large mammals of other species. Photographed at Blendon Woods Metro Park, Columbus.
